Horace White (1834-1916)
Horace White was an American journalist and economist who was the Washington correspondent for the "Chicago Tribune" during the Civil War. White then became editor-in-chief of the paper until 1874. Later, he co-edited the "Nation" and the "New York Evening Post." In 1899, White became editor-in-chief of the "Evening Post." He was the author of books on banking, financial textbooks, Roman history, and biographies.
