John Coughlin (1837-1912)
John Coughlin was a Union soldier who served as Lieutenant Colonel of the 10th New Hampshire Volunteer Infantry and was brevetted Brigadier General, Volunteers. He received the Medal of Honor for gallantry in a night attack upon Burnham's Brigade at Swift's Creek, Virginia, on May 9, 1864.
