Mr. and Mrs. Ninian Edwards, Elizabeth Todd Edwards

Mary Todd Lincoln's eldest sister married Ninian Edwards of Springfield, Illinois, the well-heeled son of an Illinois governor, Ninian Edwards, and then persuaded her three sisters to follow from their Kentucky home. Once there she helped find them all husbands.
