From left to right are: Hiram Rhodes Revels, Senator from Mississippi; Benjamin Sterling Turner, a representative of Alabama; Robert Carlos De Large, a representative of South Carolina; Josiah Thomas Walls, a representative of Florida; Jefferson Franklin Long, a representative of Georgia; Joseph Hayne Rainy, a representative of South Carolina; and Robert Brown Elliot, a representative of South Carolina.
