Rear of Lincoln-Berry Store

Abraham Lincoln spent six years of his early adult life in the town of New Salem. He came to the town when in 1831 at the age of 22 and left in 1837. This is a restored version of the rear of a store that Lincoln operated with William Berry in 1832. He also slept there.
