Bartolome Mitre (1821-1906)

Bartolome Mitre was the President of Argentina from 1862-68 who created a national administrative structure in Buenos Aires, set about the construction of railroads, and encouraged immigration. This is a hand-tinted carte de visite of the politician by L. Bartiolo of Buenos Aires.
