William Lloyd Garrison (1805-1879)

William Lloyd Garrison was an abolitionist leader and religious reformer who founded his own abolitionist newspaper, the "Liberator." Garrison was also a strong advocate of women's rights. His extremism reached its peak in 1854 when he burned a copy of the U.S. Constitution.
