"Winter Village of the Minitarres"
This is an engraving after the work of Karl Bodmer, a Swiss artist who accompanied his patron, Prince Maximilian of Wied, to the upper Missouri region in 1833-34. It provides an excellent depiction of earthen homes constructed by Native Americans.
