This satirical political cartoon illustrates the public battle between President Andrew Jackson and Nicholas Biddle. Biddle is the head of the Bank of the United States and Jackson is involved in a campaign to destroy the bank. A bare-chested Jackson boxes with Nicholas Biddle. Martin Van Buren is seen in the background cheering on Jackson, his mentor. "Mother Bank" and Biddle supporters Henry Clay and Daniel Webster cheer their champion on.
