John Quincy Adams' Ball In Honor of Jackson
Secretary of State John Quincy Adams gave a ball for General Andrew Jackson on January 8, 1824, the anniversary of the Battle of New Orleans. From left can be seen John Calhoun (figure cut off a little), Daniel Webster, General Jackson, Henry Clay, and John Quincy Adams. Jackson was serving in the U.S. Senate at the time.
