This political cartoon is poking fun at President Andrew Jackson and his cabinet's reception of the French dancer and actress Madame Celeste. Doorkeeper Jimmy O'Neal is presenting her to the group. The cabinet members are, from left to right: Secretary of the Navy Mahlon Dickerson, Attorney General Benjamin F. Butler, Secretary of War Lewis Cass, Postmaster General Amos Kendall, Treasury Secretary Levi Woodbury, and Vice President Martin Van Buren. This is a lithograph with watercolor on woven paper.
