Telegraphic Messages of Queen Victoria and President Buchanan
This illustration contains the text of the first official telegraphic message ever sent across the Atlantic Ocean. It was sent between Queen Victoria and President James Buchanan on August 16, 1858. The print also includes two small portraits of the leaders and the telegraph machines.
