Slain Confederate Soldier at Gettysburg

Alexander Gardner's team member,Timothy O'Sullivan, took this photograph at the rear of Devil's Den on July 6 or 7, 1863. This is the famous "dead sharpshooter" whose exact position near his rifle Gardner carefully staged.
