The Gadsden Purchase, Final Page

This is the first page of the Gadsden Purchase agreement which set up the United States purchase of a small strip of land from Mexico of about 30,000 square miles. This land is now part of Southern New Mexico and Arizona. This page contains the signatures of James Gadsden, Manuel Diez De Bonilla, Jose Salazar Ylarbegui, and J. Mariano Monterde.
