C. T. Vivian Prays in Selma Outside the Courthouse

Cordy Tindell Vivian leads a prayer on the steps of the Dallas county courthouse in Selma while Sheriff Jim Clark looks at his watch and tells Vivian, "Time's Up." Vivian led the prayer after he and his followers were denied entry to the courthouse. Clark arrested Vivian and his followers after the shortened prayer.
