George Washington and George Fairfax Go Fox Hunting
This engraving was done by Henry Bryan Hall after a painting by Felix O. C. Darley. It appeared as an illustration in Washington Irving's "Life of George Washington" (1855-1859). George William Fairfax was the son of Lord Thomas Fairfax and a good friend of George Washington.
