LBJ Signs the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution
President Lyndon B. Johnson signs the Gulf of Tonkin resolution in the White House East Room in front of the press. The resolution was used by Presidents Johnson and Nixon as justification for increased military action in Southeast Asia.
