Duchess of Connaught (1860-1917)
Princess Louise Margaret of Prussia married Prince Arthur, the Duke of Connaught (Queen Victoria's seventh child) in 1879. The couple and their three children lived for many years in Ottawa, Canada. During WWI the Duchess lent her name to support a new Canadian battalion: she became Colonel-in-Chief of the Duchess of Connaught's Own Irish Canadian Rangers battalion.
