Princesses of Wales, Louise and Victoria
Princess Louise (1867-1931), on the left, was the third child and oldest daughter of Edward VII and Queen Alexandra. In 1889 she married Alexander Duff and became Duchess of Fife. The couple had three children. Princess Victoria (1868-1935), on the right, was the fourth child and second daughter of Edward VII and Queen Alexandra. Victoria had many suitors but chose not to marry. She remained devoted to her mother, a woman much loved by her people but less loved by her husband, until her death.
