"A Strong Man at the Head of Government"

This cartoon, which originally appeared in the February 4, 1880 issue of Puck, depicts President Ulysses S. Grant as an acrobat, on the "third term" trapeze holding onto the "whiskey ring" and "navy ring" with the strap "corruption" in his mouth, holding up other corrupt politicians, also dressed as acrobats.
