Benjamin Harrison (1833-1901)
Here is a photograph of Benjamin Harrison, the twenty-third president of the United States, in later life. He lost the popular vote to Grover Cleveland, but he won in the electoral vote in 1888. Harrison fought in the Civil War and became a brigadier general. He was also the U.S. senator from Indiana from 1881 until 1887.
