This lithograph campaign poster promotes the Republican nominees for the 1888 presidential campaign, Benjamin Harrison and Levi P. Morton. It has two oval portraits of the candidates linked by the slogan "Any government is safest in the hands of its preservers." An illustration of the four points of the compass in the lower right corner says "Protective Tariff For All" and the bottom left corner shows a "Republican Broom" sweeping papers into a dustbin. It was published by Kurz & Allison Art Publishers of Chicago.
