"Great Republican Harrison and Morton Campaign Ball, 1888"
This great steel-ribbed and canvas-covered Cumberland campaign ball was built for Benjamin Harrison's presidential campaign. It is a replica of the ball that was built for his grandfather William Henry Harrison's presidential campaign. The ball was decorated with campaign slogans that could be read at a distance. D. E. Brockett of Cumberland, Maryland, built it and rolled it approximately 5,000 miles and several states to Indiana.
