"His Sin"

In this cartoon from The Judge, October 11, 1884, Henry Ward Beecher offers to help Grover Cleveland with his burden: the sin of supposedly having fathered an illegitimate child. During the presidential campaign of 1884, many personal attacks were made against Cleveland. Beecher was a staunch defender.
