Democratic Nominees, 1888
These are various sizes of engravings of the Democratic candidates Grover Cleveland, for president, and Allen G. Thurman, for vice president, that were offered for sale by MacKellar, Smiths & Jordan, a printing company in Philadelphia. Cleveland and Thurman ran for office in 1888, but lost to Benjamin Harrison and Levi P. Morton. The prints range in price from fifty cents for the smallest to $1.50 for the largest. There is an additional charge (either five or ten cents, depending on size) for mail order.
