Apache warriors and white soldiers meet in the Sierra Madre mountains in Mexico on March 25, 1886. Geronimo sits at the third from left; General George Crook is second from right, and Captain John G. Bourke is third from right. The group also includes Lieutenant Shipp, Lieutenant Faison, Captain Roberts, Lieutenant Maus, Jose Maria Antonio Besias, Charles Roberts, Natchez, Cayetano, and Conception.
