"General Harrison -- The Washington of the West"
In this engraved portrait, General William Henry Harrison, on horseback, in uniform, and about to charge into battle, is portrayed as "The Washington of the West." Harrison was the hero of the Battle of Tippecanoe (1811) and the Battle of the Thames (1813). This lithograph was engraved by T. Sinclair and published by J. F. Watson of Philadelphia in 1840.
