Gen. William Henry Harrison
This is a campaign banner from the presidential election of 1840. The lithographed print depicts different scenes from William Henry Harrison's life. The center panel shows Harrison in uniform mounted on his horse. It is surrounded by a border of miniature scenes including: The Patriot's Home, Senator and Statesman, Defense of Fort Meigs, Pardoning the Assassin, Harrison at Wayne's Victory, Making Hard Cider, Battle of Tippecanoe, Welcome of Fellow Sailor, Quelling a Mutiny at Fort Defiance, Treating with Indians, Battle of the Thames, Scene at North Bend. It was engraved and published by George Endicott in 1840.
