"Federal Abolition Whig Trap To Catch Voters In"

This anti-Whig broadside tries to counteract William Henry Harrison's "Log Cabin and Hard Cider" campaign tactics in the 1840 presidential election. The text warns the citizens of Louisiana not to be taken in by the Whig attempts to win their votes by alcohol and deception. In the cartoon, a man is depicted sucking at a barrel of hard cider about to be ensnared by a log cabin trap.
