A National Hymn for the Death of William Henry Harrison
This print states that this hymn "was composed to be sung on the 14th of May 1841; the day recommended by the President, to be set apart as a day of fasting and prayer, by the people of the United States, on account of the death of Gen. Wm. Harrison." The hymn was written by L. Griffing and meant to be sung to the tune of "China." A wood cut print of Harrison's death bed scene can be seen at the top of the page.
