Hannah Hoes Van Buren (1783-1819)

Hannah Hoes married Martin Van Buren in 1807. She died in 1819, eighteen years before Van Buren was elected president. The couple had four sons. This miniature is one of the few images that exist of her. It was painted by an unknown artist.
