"The Grand National Caravan Moving East"
This political cartoon offers a critical view of President Andrew Jackson's administration and policies. Vice President Martin Van Buren is seen riding behind Jackson on a horse, leading a parade representing their administration. The parade includes a devil playing a fiddle and a cage of Indians with a "Rights of Man" flag and singing "Home Sweet Home" -- an obvious reference to Jackson's forced Indian resettlement program.
