William Dennison (1815-1882)

William Dennison was governor of Ohio at the beginning of the Civil War. Dennison was the chairman of the Republican National Convention in 1864 and was appointed postmaster general by Lincoln. In 1866 he resigned because of his dissatisfaction with President Johnson.
