Leopold De Meyer (1816-1883)
Leopold De Meyer was an important continental musician in the mid 1800s. He was the composer of the famous "Marche marocaine." A charismatic pianist, he toured the United States in 1845. He once boasted that he could play piano with his fists and elbows, or even with a cane.
