Charles Kemble Fox (1833-1875)
Younger brother of the more famous George Fox, Charles Fox was born in Boston and went on stage at the age of six. His first appearance in New York was in 1853 as Gumption Cute in "Uncle Tom's Cabin." He was the author of the pantomime "Humpty Dumpty at Home," in which he and his brother gained so much fame. His miming was brilliant.
