Charles Henry Fowler (1837-1908)

Charles H. Fowler was born in Canada, but grew up in Illinois. He was ordained in 1864 and soon became central to the Methodist Church. Fowler was president of Northwestern University from 1872 to 1876. He was elected bishop of the Methodist Church in 1884.
