Elder Frederick W. Evans (1808-1893)

Frederick W. Evans was an elder in the Shaker community at Mount Lebanon, New York. An Englishman, he had converted to Shakerism in 1830. He was influenced by Swedenborg's spiritualism and was a prolific writer, the author of more than four books and countless lectures.
