Loew's Footbridge, New York City
The bridge, built in 1866 and dismantled in 1868, allowed patrons of Genin's hat store to avoid the Broadway traffic. It was torn down at the insistence of Knox the Hatter, Genin's arch rival, who claimed it obstructed light to his store.
