John Fiske (1842-1901)

Fiske was a professor of philosophy at Harvard College and then lectured internationally on American history. In 1871 he arrived at the discovery of the causes of the prolonged infancy of mankind, and the importance of his contribution to Darwinian theory is now generally admitted.
