Charles Memorial Hamilton (1840-1875)
Charles Memorial Hamilton, a lawyer from Florida, entered the Union Army as a private in 1861. He was appointed judge advocate of the general court-martial for the Army of the Potomac. Hamilton was elected as a Republican to Congress (1868-71).
