Robert Heller (1833-1878)
Robert Palmer Heller was a magician and pianist. His real name was William Palmer. He was born in England and arrived in the United States on April 11, 1852. He first appeared in New York at the Chinese Buildings. He revisited England in January, 1868. Heller invented the "coin ladder" trick. He was called "the greatest American magician" before his untimely death.
