Cordelia Howard (1848-1941)
Cordelia Howard was a precocious child who began playing Eva in a theatrical production of "Uncle Tom's Cabin" when she was four. She later performed at the National Theatre in New York, where the play was a sensation. She retired from the stage at age thirteen. Howard completed her education in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
