Thomas B. Hughes (1822-1896)
Thomas Hughes was an English author and reformer. Hughes was one of the founders of the Christian Socialists, who published journals in 1849 and 1851. In 1856 he wrote "Tom Brown's Schooldays," a novel based on his school experiences. Hughes became a Liberal MP between 1865 and 1874.
