Benjamin G. Humphrey (1808-1882)
Benjamin Grubb Humphrey was governor of Mississippi. He was a brigadier general in the Confederate army during the Civil War. He served as governor from 1865 to 1868, when he was physically removed from office by a federal military force under the command of General Irwin McDowell.
