Karl Marx was a world renowned German revolutionary. He was born in Germany and was the co-originator of the theories of Communism. In 1843 Marx went to Paris where he met Frederick Engels, but he was banished in 1845 for being dangerous. The two went to Belgium, where they wrote the "Communist Manifesto," but again Marx was banished, and he fled to London. The first volume of his great "Capital" was published in 1867 but the remaining two volumes were completed after his death by Engels.
