Albert G. Jenkins (1830-1864)

Albert Gallatin Jenkins was elected as a Democrat representative from Virginia to Congress (1857-60). He joined the Confederate Army and was appointed brigadier general in 1860. He was wounded at the Battle of Cloyds Mountain and died on May 21st, 1864. This is a carte de visite of an engraved portrait.
