Robert Johnson (1834-1869)

Robert Johnson was the son of President Andrew Johnson. In the Civil War, he served as a colonel in the First Tennessee Cavalry. Soon after his father retired from office in 1869, Robert -- unable to overcome his lifelong battle alcoholism -- committed suicide.
