Mason Jones
Mason Jones was an orator from Dublin, Ireland. In 1862, he came to the United States to give a series of lectures on the "great men in history." He also gave a lecture in New York in which he said slavery was a blot upon the nation. He asserted that the freedom of the Irish was interdependent on the freedom of Blacks, and two hundred of his audience stormed out of the hall.
