Evariste Vital Luminais (1821-1890)

Charles-Evariste Vital Luminais was a French painter. He was famous for his historical paintings, particularly those of France during the Roman occupation. His students included Emily Sartain (whose companion, Mary Cassatt, disapproved of her studying with Luminais) and Albert Maignan.
