Temple Emanuel, New York City
This synagogue stood at Fifth Avenue and 43rd Street. It was built in 1868 in the Moorish style at a cost of $60,000. The building was demolished in 1927. The present Temple Emanuel is at Fifth Avenue and 65th Street. The building in the far background belonged to the Central and Hudson Railroad.
